Another Day

Yesterday the old ministry team went out to a church in GUelph. It was awesome cuz on the very first song everything went wrong, and that seemed to be the pattern for most of the night, but God showed up anyways. Sometimes when crap like that happens we think "well maybe this isn't what God wants" or "Maybe God is trying to tell us somthing" but I think as Christians in the west, we have forgotten all about spirtual warfare. We believe in God but also we believe in Science and often put aside anythoughts of Demons or n e thing. ANyways. I had this really cool power point game ready to go, all hi tech with videos and pictures, but thier computer was a mac, so it was all messed up. THus I invented a new game... What is going on in Doug's head/ I think it is my personal favourite trivia game.

I'm still not down with ministry teams. The main tool in ministry is relationships but we r supposed to show up for a day, lead worship, get the kids on an emotional high and hopefully allow them to encounter the Holy Spirit, and then back up and go home. I'm starting to feel more like a recruiting tool for the school and Doug McKenzie is not a tool! (well i am, but whatever).

On another note... Doug McKenzie had a date for the CHristmas Gala.... but thats all I'm gonna say on that.

I'm currently sporting a very nice looking mohawk, when spiked it's like half a foot high, very cool. For some reason the haircut made me want to download some old punk songs I listen too back when I was like 15, I actually had to stop downloading some of them cuz they brought back some old emotions (which is why I stopped listening to them in the first place) but The Clash will alsways be in heavy rotation.
Today I spend some money that should be going to the phone bill on laundry. I had a nice system set up since i've only done laundry once since thanksgiving but a person can only avoid the crusty socks for so long, and then they're all crust... AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE UNDERWEAR.

Christmas is coming... live every good little capitlist pig, i've handed in my christmas list... this year the parents christmas fund for doug Mckenzie is at $50, just enough for that airsoft gun... I'll be hunting the dutch in no time (you guys know i love you, you know it, don't you?

oh and homework, but who wants to type about homework, infact... who wants to type homework?
really, i need someone to type this up for me cuz we finally got pool balls and i can play pool now.

The Greatest Threat To The Church
I just discovered what is, in my opinion, the great-est threat to the church in this millinium!@
Being able to order Swiss Chalet online

God be with us all.

WOW
We had an all rez meeting the other night and the head dude adam, talked about november and basically how for college students (and other ppl i'm sure) november is the crappiest month of the year, and at this point, it is so true.
This weekend is HUGE, soul direction, and i have a practice everyday from now till sunday along with playing 2-3 times every day and being required to attend all the workshops, which means that all my other homework will either be placed on the back burner or squeezed in somewhere else, which sucks cuz it's a heavy week this week and coming up.

ANyways, i am glad to get this chance to hang out with some teens, oh and for one of the drama things i'm robin, the boy wonder.
I'll try to post pictures of my cosumes, i got someone to buy me tighty whities, and then i coloured them green with a bingo dabber

good times

What I was Missing
Today was awesome, I'm way behind in homework but it was awesome.
Today was the first time that I got to go out on the ministry team.
Somthing has been missing since I got here and I wasn't sure what it was, although I have fallen behind in my BIble studies and spending time with God, lately I've improved but I still felt like somthing was missing.
BUt tongiht I got a chance to work with a group of junior highers and it reminded me of how important it is to serve others and how awesome it is to serve them and how God uses us when we are willing.
It's kinda stupid that a kid in bible college would neglect to serve others but i was so busy with school thats i had forgotten about it. I'm looking forward to oour next ministry trip and for chances to serve ppl in between
