general update

Hello.
Well I'm in the final stretch for this semester. I have 3 papers due this mon. and tues (3 all together). One of them is pretty much done. The other two are gonna be tough going. One is 3 pages long but worth 40% while the other when is 15 pages long but with 1.5 spacing. I have some trippy teachers this semester.
Other then that it's the same old procrastination with a bit of last minute work.

pet peeve for the day

Whats the deal with prime minister's sons? I mean first we have the little media whore, Ben Mullroney who dishes out celeb gossip and hosts canadian idol. What good is he doing? Why is he famouse again?
Then we have the trudeau boys. One makes documentries. for instance in one he was in a war torn area and was trying to tell the people that what they were doing was wrong. Yes, that sounds like journalism to me, rich white boy comes into poor area and tells everyone to play nice. Then there is Justin Trudeau. I Don't really know what he does but he is coming to my school to give a lecture on 'youth empowerment', whatever he means by that. (talking to youth about empowering youth?) I mean at least these two are contributing something to society (other then dishing celeb dirt every week on etalk daily) but it's kinda like when bono does somthing good. You know that he's at least doing some good, but you still feel a little dirty about the whole thing. Can't we reduce 3rd world debt and increase aide without requiring Bono to tell us to do it? BUt I digress.

Anyways my only point is that why r these guys even (in)famous (the politicians sons). I mean we are canadians, we don't make celebrities out of our politicians (or their children). Sure we enjoy a bit of friction between peter and belinda, but when was the last time you heard about Chretien in the news? It's been awhile for me. Out of sight out of mind, thats the way we used to be, thats the way we need to be again. It's time for the mulroney and trudeau sons to be out of sight, out of mind. But thats just one man's opinion.
