The Problem With Worship
So i'm in world missions class and of course, we're talking about outreach to "unreached peoples".
Now here's one of my pet peeves. No matter what, culture gets into relegion. This means that the christianity we see in canada/U.S. is undoubtly going to look different then the christianity we see in other parts of the worlds, but as missionaries we are going to take or culture along with our relegon.
We go into other countries and we have a goal have building a church with four nice big walls and a roof, with an organ or guitar to worship with and a nice service on sunday morning.

But what if the people you are reaching out to are tribes people who migrate often, well you try to tell them that they have to stay in one place in order to attend church or else thier salvaton is at risk?
Well you tell someone that the Sitar is not an appropriate instrument for worshiping God

I think maybe another problem is that we has Canadians have no culture, we are a mix of many cultures, but those of us who have been here for many generations have forgotten our cultures so we just go with what ever is generally accepted.
That means church at 9 am on sunday morning (or somthing to that effect. WHo was the idiot that came up with that one?!? Sunday- everyones depressed cuz the weekend is over, Morning - I would rather be sleeping, thank you. But we view church as somthing that we have to endure, and sit through in order to get to the good stuff- lunch, sunday football, the lazy boy chair.

CHURCH SHOULD BE THE GOOD STUFF!

maybe thats why I've tried to get more in touch with my scottish heritage, I'm tired of being a culturless canadian. I want bag pipes to be played, not at funerals, but at worship services, i want to toss a log for Jesus

AND DARN IT, i WANT TO RIVER DANCE ON THE PEWS

but next sunday i'll go to church, try to clap in beat, and patiently listen to the sermon
all the while wondering if Domco will finally make somthing good

AN END TO THE DEBATE
Today at lunch while during deep discussion with fellow student, I put an end to the great debate. Fruit vs. Vegtable
So here's the issue, I don't eat vegtable, but I do eat fruit and everything is going good in my life untill some jack butt comes along and says that tomatoes are fruit because they have seeds.
So here comes a problem, bannanas are fruit, they don't have seeds! furthermore what is a vegtable? a potatoes is a root, but it's also called a vegtable, lettuce is really just glorified grass and eggplant makes no sense at all. So i have decided TO CHANGE SCIENCE, THUS CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!!
So here is how mankind well define fruits and vegtables

Fruit are SWEET, Vegtables are YUCKY

I think most people will agree with me and thus i believe this to be the accurate scientific description.
Now for some of you foolish people (you know who you are) who use this new description to make stupid claims (like honey is sweet therefore honey is a fruit) then I will go to the basics of fruit and vegtables. IN order for somthing to be a fruit, or vegtable it must have been grown, not made like honey, or killed like steak.
But when deciding whther somthing id fruit or vegtable the new description stands!

Blogs are stupid, yes thats right I said it. This page, of course, is not a blog, The fact of the matter is that there are a lot of dumb people out there, and some one has to set them straight, and for lack of a better leader, I am that someone. Thats right, me!
